Staging competition rules and terms — not production legal wording
Song Academy must review, approve and version these rules before the official SAYS27 launch.
Entrants must be aged 8–22 at the competition's submission deadline. Entrants aged 8–18 must provide a parent or guardian contact. Each entry must be the entrant's own original work, with all necessary permissions from co-writers, performers and recording contributors.
Song Academy may place an entry into the category calculated from the entrant's age at the competition's submission deadline and selected UK & Ireland or International entry type. Administrators may correct a category with an auditable reason.
Test entries are separate from official competition entries and do not award competition placement. Competitions explicitly marked as free staging do not charge an entry or feedback fee. Other test competitions show the configured entry and optional feedback charges before confirmation. Local checkout simulates payment without taking money; local confirmation emails go to a test inbox. These test results do not prove that live payment or email services are ready.
Sponsored and school codes cover the entry fee only; optional feedback is paid separately. Codes may be limited, expired or withdrawn.
